Our Story

Since 2017, Chad & Curtis Johnston have completely reimagined what a boutique craft winery should be! They started out with the foundation of quality wine that Winescape was already known for and then took it to the next level.

Chad started with what he wanted in a boutique craft wine store…an experience. So, with this in mind, he started renovating Winescape. Installing new white cabinetry & quartz counters for easy cleaning, new corking machines for easier bottling and a beautiful lounge. The final product is a space where each customer can relax and sample their wine which is paired with a complimentary charcuterie board. It wasn’t the easiest road, but who says easy is the best!

Since Chad and Curtis took over Winescape they have won numerous awards, including being voted as “Barrie’s Best” craft your own winery for over 12 years!
